Alisa Trunzo is the Founder and Chief Communications Officer of Glow Communications. Prior to forming Glow, she served as Director of the Office of Communications and Engagement for the Office of Nuclear Energy at the U.S. Department of Energy. Alisa built the Office of Communications and Engagement from its inception. There, she established and led a team of 12 talented, creative communications and engagement professionals and turned the Office of Nuclear Energy into a reliable source of information and compelling content.
Alisa is skilled at establishing trusted voices in the nuclear energy space and helping organizations connect to more people, communities, and stakeholders. She is an expert in strategic communications and developing cohesive approaches to community, Tribal, and stakeholder engagement.
Alisa is mom to two little humans and one little dog. She loves high fantasy, awkward jokes, and the Oxford comma.
Katelyn Morales Juneau is the Lead Communications Strategist for Glow Communications. She previously served as Strategic Communications Specialist for the Department of Energy’s Office of Nuclear Energy. There, she developed communications and engagement strategies for everything from advanced reactor technologies, R&D programs, nuclear fuel, and spent nuclear fuel disposal. Katelyn also spent time as a Nuclear Communications Specialist with Idaho National Lab, where she worked closely with the Gateway for Accelerated Innovation in Nuclear (GAIN).
Katelyn is skilled at crafting tailored, concise messaging that aligns with organizational goals and resonates with diverse stakeholders. She is passionate about breaking down technical topics into more accessible forms of content and driving meaningful values-based discussions.
Her pastimes include reading horror novels, playing Dungeons and Dragons, and sourcing 60s vintage.
Katie Pollock is a Communications Specialist for Glow Communications. With experience at the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Nuclear Energy and a Master of Public Affairs with a concentration in Energy Analysis and Policy, she brings expertise in strategic communications, stakeholder engagement, and translating complex technical information for diverse audiences.
At the Office of Nuclear Energy, Katie led communications for the Nuclear Fuel Cycle Program. In this role, she developed and executed communications plans for key announcements, initiatives, events, and milestones. She worked closely with technical experts and senior leadership to produce content that is clear, accurate, and compelling.
Outside of work, Katie enjoys spending time with her two cats and dog, taking long walks, and reading mystery and thriller novels.
